Get Complete Dark Mode in Chrome for Android Natively

A couple of months ago, when the craze of the people for Dark Mode started to materialize, and Google started introducing Dark Mode in several of there apps, we wrote about how you could get the Dark Mode in Chrome for Android.

But it was more of a workaround then a feature that existed in the Chrome for Android browser. While Google continued introducing Dark Mode in several of their apps we continued reporting it on our blog.

And it seems that the Dark Mode is now natively available in Chrome for Android. All do you still would be required to enable it from Chrome Flags. Also, there are few requirements to get the Dark Mode.

How to get the native Dark Mode in Chrome for Android

The Dark Mode feature is available in the latest version of Chrome for Android app (version 74.0.3729.11 or above), the latest version has not been rolled out everywhere.

Although, you can download the APK of the latest version from APKMirror.com.

Once you have installed the latest version of Chrome on your mobile phone, open the Chrome for Android browser.

Type chrome://flags and tap enter.

Use the search box on the top to find ‘dark‘ which will return to results, enable them both, and then relaunch the chrome app. (refer to the image below)

Get the Dark Mode in Chrome for Android without downloading the APK file

For some reason, you do not want to download the APK file from a third-party source, or if it is not working at all. You can still use the Dark Mode on Chrome on your mobile phone.

All those you will have to install a separate version of Chrome for Android, it’s called Chrome Canary.

It is from Google itself and words like Google Chrome, the only difference is that all the experimental features land on which browser first for testing purpose.

Like the native Dark Mode is already available on Chrome Canary app, follow the same process mentioned above to enable Dark Mode.
