Are you looking for your next smartphone? What features do you look for when buying a new smartphone? I am sure the VoLTE support is one of the features you are looking for in a smartphone.
Well, it’s 2017, and mostly all the smartphones coming in the market are voLTE enabled. Some as available at just a few thousand bucks. We have picked out the best phones you can buy under rs 15000/-
The smartphones mentioned in the list as not just the voLTE enabled but offer so much more, we’ve tried to pick the best phones according to the reviews of their owners and the specs they offer.
Under Rs 15000
Xioami Mi Max 2
If you are comfortable carrying a 6.4inch smartphone, which is huge, and I own it, the Mi Max 2 is the best phone you can get for your Money. Apart from the 6.4inch Screen size, the phone has a humongous 53000mAh battery, (thankfully quick charging is available)
The Mi max 2 with 32GB ROM, 3GB RAM (with rest of the Specs being pretty much the same) is priced at Rs 14,999/ while the 64GB Variant will cost you Rs 16,999/-
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
The Redmi Note 4 from Xiaomi has everything a good phone on a budget should have, in fact, the Company claims it has sold over 50 lakh Redmi Note 4 mobiles in India till date, which is quite an achievement considering not everyone knows about it when I recommend best budget phones.
The Redmi Note 4 has a 5.5 inch full HD screen and 4100mAh battery. The phone comes in three different variants at three different price points, starting at Rs 9999 for the 32GB/3GB and goes till Rs 12999 for the 64GB /4GB RAM variant.
But according to us, the one with 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM, for Rs 10,999/- is the best you can get for the price, or you might as well go for the higher capacity one if you are looking to record more videos because in that case, the capacity is going to run out pretty quickly.
Moto G5 Plus
There are surely some Non-Xiaomi phones as well in the list and not just for the heck of it, they really make it to the list, one such is Moto G5 plus, a decent mid-range smartphone from a well-known name.
Looking at the specs sheet, the phone fulfils the promise of a well-balanced smartphone in a budget. With a 5.2 inch full HD (1920×1080) screen, 32GB ROM (expandable up to 128GB) and 4GB RAM, 12MP primary (f1.7) and a 5MP front camera, 3000mAh battery, Dual SIM (4G+4G) and a Snapdragon 625 processor The Moto G5 Plus is available on Amazon.in at Rs 13,999/, which is fairly priced.
Lenovo K8 Note
I have been recommending The Lenovo K8 Note to people who don’t want a Xiaomi for different reasons, like Design or Brand preference, somehow they have more trust in Lenovo.
And the Lenovo surely doesn’t fail those who put in the trust, at least not with the Lenovo K8 Note. The phone is available on Amazon.in for Rs 13,999/- exactly what the Moto G5 plus is selling for, and it still manages to offer somewhat more, at least on the specs sheet.
The Lenovo K8 Note has 2 cameras at the back, 1 13MP and a 5MP, and a 13MP camera in the front as well. The phone screen is 5.5-inch full HD, 64GB ROM and a 4GB RAM, with 4000mAh battery with Turbocharging.
The phone has a Mediatech chipset, Helio X23 to be precise, but it is fairly new and could be said to be on par with Snapdragon’s 625 chipsets when it comes to performance.
PS: It should be noted that Lenovo owns Motorola (the Mobile company)
I’ve never been a fan of Honor phones as they have been bringing phones only in the higher end and mid-range phones, but their new phone the Honor 6 sits comfortably at a price point of Rs 14,999/- making it a worthy to the list best Smartphones under Rs 15,000
The Phone is a 5 inch Full HD, with 13MP rear and 5Mp front camera, 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The battery is 3000mAh.
Please note that the device is a Single SIM device. Also, the Honor 6 supports the following LTE bands: LTE-FDD Band 1, Band 3, Band 7, Band 20, LTE-TDD Band 38. Honor 6 does not support 4G currently with Airtel and Aircel as they offer LTE in TDD Band 40 in India
Asus Zenfone 3
The Zenfone series from Asus is quite a decent series of phone in the budget segment, And it’s Asus Zenfone 3, which is quite an awesome phone, makes it to the list because of its good reviews from the owners of the phone.
The phone has a 5.2 inch Full HD (1920×1080) screen, 16MP and 8MP primary and front camera respectively, 3GB RAM and a 32GB Internal Storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD). The Battery is quite average at 2650mAh but you get the Snapdragon 625 processor on the phone.
The Asus Zendone is available on Amazon.in for Rs 14000/-
As we go under Rs 10000/- the options get limited as the budget gets tight, looking at the market we can only see Xiaomi being the best company to offer value to the money phone, we’ve proved it earlier. But still, here are the phones that make it to the list of best phones under Rs 10,000/-
Under Rs 10000
Redmi Note 4 (32GB / 3GB RAM)
Though the Redmi Note falls in the Rs 10,000/- Rs 15,000/- range, it’s the lowest variant, of 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM can be purchased at Rs 9,999/-
The phone is slightly superior to the Redmi 4 which looks almost identical but is smaller with a 5-inch screen (full HD).
The Redmi Note 4 has a Snapdragon processor of 625 which is crucial in getting good performance. It’s a better buy than a higher variant of Redmi 4 which will have Snapdragon 435.
Having said that, it’s all your choice whether you want to buy a 5.5-inch phone or go with a sleeker and comfortable to hold the 5-inch Redmi 4.
The Redmi 4 comes in three variant, while it doesn’t make any sense to go with the higher one, it’s good that we have a choice between the lower and the mid-level one. The lower variant ( 16GB ROM / 2Gb RAM) is priced at Rs 7,999/- and mid-range one (32GB ROM / 3GB RAM) is priced at Rs 8,999/-.
Thankfully this time the only difference is the RAM and Internal Storage, both the variants have the Fingerprint sensor.
The best buy would be the Rs 8,999/- phone.
The Redmi 4A is kind of a miracle phone because when you can buy a 5-inch screen sized phone for Rs 6,550/ that is an HD (1280×720), has a 13MP primary camera and a 5Mp front camera, powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor, with battery of 3120mAh, it is no less than a miracle.
Apparently, the Xiaomi has done it, the Redmi 4A is the cheapest dual SIM (4G + 2G) Smartphone you can get that can be actually usable.
Just a few weeks ago there would have been no room for a smartphone under Rs 5000, but the stiff competition in the market has enabled Manufacturers to bring 4G phones under this price bracket as well.
Under Rs 5000

Though the phone comes bundled with some terns and conditions from the Company like you need to keep it active throughout the period of three years. The Jio Phone is less like a smartphone and is more like a hardware rented by the company so that you can enjoy their services on it.
In the Indian Market Airtel is the only contender of the giant Reliance Jio that can challenge in the schemes offered by the company, so, like the Jio Phone, Airtel has also tied up with a local Manucaturer to brings affordable smartphones similar to the Jio Phone. Let’s call it Airtel Phone.
