The Online Streaming service by HBO got hacked by a group of hackers who have reportedly hacked unreleased episodes of the Season 7 of Game of Thrones.
Entertainment Weekly claims that the Hackers claim to have acquired 1.5TB of data from the HBO website. Apart from the episodes of Game of Thrones, many other unreleased shows have been hacked.
And this is not all, the Hackers went ahead and sent an anonymous email to a bunch of reports. Here’s what the email reads.
Hi to all mankind. The greatest leak of cyber space era is happening. What’s its name? Oh I forget to tell. Its HBO and Game of Thrones……!!!!!! You are lucky to be the first pioneers to witness and download the leak. Enjoy it & spread the words. Whoever spreads well, we will have an interview with him. HBO is falling.
It’s not for the first time HBO has faced an attack from Hackers, back in 2015, a group of hackers also hacked the first 4 episodes of Game of Thrones Season 5. Resulting to which, one of the episodes of the Seasons 6 had to be released early.
In the past, other content sources have also been leaked, such as the famous attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment by a group of hackers who called themselves the Guardians of Peace
And just a few months ago, the Netflix was attacked and few episodes of Orange is the New Black were leaked.
Talking about Game of Thrones, the last episode of Season seven will air on August 27th, and we will have to see if the leaked episodes find their way to Torrents or not.
In case that happens, would you watch it or just wait for the episodes to air on their scheduled time?
