It’s been a month Google has officially, and Google unveiled their pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. The smartphones come with many exciting features, so advanced that it is not coming to India

Anyway we are talking about one of the exclusive features that is only available on Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

I am talking about the recorder app that can transcribe the audio in real-time, that too offline.

This means that Google has put its entire machine learning and artificial intelligence experience into the smartphone that it does not require an internet connection to work.

What else? People can make a search about the audio clip recorded, and they can jump to the exact place where the words are being said, it is no less than magic.

Sounds exciting, right?

Get the Pixel 4 XL Recorder on any Mobile.

At the time of unveiling, Google has mentioned that the Recorder is exclusively available for Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, and even their promo videos suggest it is specifically.

But we live in a world of internet and amazing developers, who ported out the app which can work on any mobile.

There are two versions available as of now; the first one was released on October 1st, which is before the unveiling of the Pixel 4 into 4 XL.

The other one was released on October 17th days after the unveiling of smartphones.

The October 1st version does work on my phone but does not show live transcribe.

The other version that was released on October 17th does not work on my Asus 6z. However, several people have reported that it works on their previous generations of Pixel smartphones and other phones such as Huawei P20.

Most likely it should be working on Smartphones with Android 10, if your phone is not on Android 10, and if you are really curious to get the Pixel 4 Recorder app, look for the second option mentioned in this article.

Google has recently confirmed that the recorder will be coming to other pixel smartphones as well, however, there is no definitive timeline for the official release.

I’ll leave the download link for the APK of the recorder app that was released on October 17th and try it on your mobile phone.

Download from APK Mirror (Released on October 17th,2019)

Note: If you are on this page on a later date will be there is another version available on APK mirror that works on many other phones, so make sure you download the latest version. You can find it by scrolling down a little bit on the download page of 17th octber version, where all the versions would be listed, click on it to go to the download page (refer to the image below)

If it does not work in follow the other step mentioned in the article below.

Flash Custom Pixel Experience ROM.

If you curious about the recorder app and you want to get that feature no matter how the only option as of now is to flash the custom pixel ROM available for a few phones such as the Poco F1.

The pixel experience ROM includes several other features that are exclusive to Pixel smartphones.

Download Google Experience Custom ROM for Xiaomi Poco F1

Here is the link to download the Pixel Experience Custom ROM for Poco F1. Make sure to download the Android 10 based ROM.

ROM Firmware Required: TWRP, Unlocked bootloader. This thread on XDA forum shall be useful for you if you want to proceed.

I joined a group on Telegram, where several people reported that they are using the Pixel 4 recorder app on their smartphones after flashing the Pixel Experience ROM on the mobile phones.

The only concern would be, whether or not the Pixel Experience ROM is available for your smartphone and if it does, then the recorder app should work.
