It is the time of the year when xiaomi launches the next version of from there a redmi series.
Xiaomi has launched the next generation of three of the smartphones from the redmi series. The Redmi 6A, which is the Ultra budget smartphone price at Rs 5999, followed by the redmi 6 which replaces redmi 5 for the pricing of Rs 7999 for the 32GB internal storage and 3GB Ram variant.
And lastly, the Redmi 6 Pro, which is a different smartphone from the Redmi Note Pro, since the Redmi Note has graduated from a budget segment smartphone to a mid-range smartphone available at Rs 15000, the update to which we will be seeing in coming months.
Price and availability of Redmi 6A, Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro
As mentioned above,
The Redmi 6A is priced at Rs 5999 and will be available on Amazon India from 18th September onwards.
The Redmi 6 starts Rs 7999 and will be sold for Flipkart from 10th September onwards.
The Redmi 6 Pro is available at Rs 10,999 onwards and will be sold on Amazon India from 11th September.
The Redmi 6A has a 5.45 inch HD plus display and is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 processor. The phone comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The 32GB variant costs Rs 1000 more.
It also has the option to expand the Storage using the Dedicated microSD slot. Which means you can use Dual SIM along with the MicroSD.
The Redmi 6A features a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front camera and there is a battery of 3000mAh.
The Redmi 6 also features a 5.45 inch HD plus display along with the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset.
It comes with a 3 GB of RAM and 32GB/64 GB of storage variants with the hybrid sim slot.
The Smartphone looks pretty much similar to the Redmi 6A from the front. It’s the back which tells you the difference, with the Dual Camera setup.
The dual camera setup on the back is 13MP+ 5MP along with a 5 MP of front camera. There is a 3000mAh battery and the price of the base variant is Rs 7999. The 64GB variant would cost Rs 9499.
The Redmi 6 Pro is there with a larger screen with 5.84 inches full HD plus display and is powered by Snapdragon 625.
The smartphone comes in 2 RAM variant of 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, and also into storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, with the option to expand the storage via MicroSD card which can be used in the hybrid sim slot.
Talking about the dual camera setup, it has a 12MP + 5MP of the dual camera at the back along with 5MP of front camera.
Since it is a Pro, it gets the larger battery of 4000mAh and looks a bit different than the Redmi 6 and 6A, thanks to the Notch, which also makes the Aspect ratio of the screen 19:9 against the 18:9 aspect ratio on Redmi 6A and Redmi 6.
The phone is priced accordingly at Rs 10999 for the 3GB Ram and 32GB of internal storage.
For the higher variant of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage variant, you will have to pay Rs 12999.
All the smartphones run on the Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on the top of it.
The smartphones are really well priced especially the redmi 6a which, currently has no competition in the market.
If you have to talk about the redmi 6, we already have got the Realme 2, which course is Rs 1000 extra but offers a larger display with better cameras and better design.
It is interesting times to be in when the smartphone is launching every other day, thanks to the competition, new players entering the budget segment, we will be seeing more interesting smartphones in the coming months.
