The next generation of the Redmi Note series the Redmi Note 6 Pro got a quiet launched in Thailand.

It will soon be made available in different countries and will arrive in India by the end of February, the month which saw the launch of Redmi Note 5 Pro in India this year.

The Redmi Note 6 Pro might be an upgrade to the popular Redmi Note 5 Pro, but the changes in terms of design are not drastic.

So, in this post, we will compare both the smartphones and see what new Xioami Redmi Note 6 Pro is offering.

Let’s talk about the display

The key differences between in both the smartphone is the display, the Redmi Note 6 Pro comes with a Notch, which makes the aspect ratio a little larger than Redmi Note 5 Pro.

The screen increased to 6.26 inch in comparison to the 5.99-inch display on the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Though, IPS LCD panel with full HD resolution stays the same on both the devices, the screen-to-body ratio has reached 86 % in Redmi Note 6 Pro.

The Notch on the Redmi Note 6 Pro houses the Earpiece, Sensors, and a Dual camera setup. The dual camera setup on the front as well on the Redmi Note 6 Pro makes four cameras on a smartphone.

Let’s talk about the camera

The Redmi Note 6 Pro is the first Xiaomi smartphone to be equipped with Quad camera set up, there is a dual camera setup on the back as well as a dual camera set up on the front.

The dual camera setup on the back has 12 MP of the Primary lens with  f/1.9 aperture compared to the smaller f/2.2 aperture on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The secondary 5MP depth sensor remains the same on both the smartphones.

This change in the primary sensor makes the Redmi Note 6 Pro better in low light conditions for photography.

Talking about the front dual camera setup, Redmi Note had a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, while the 20-megapixel camera on the Redmi Note 6 Pro gets f/2.0 aperture along with a 2MP depth sensor.

Apart from the display and the camera setup redmi Note 6 Pro everything else is pretty similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Just like its predecessor the Redmi Note 6 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 636 chipset.

There is a fingerprint sensor on the back, a 4000mAh battery, Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI skin on the top of it.
