The multi-device support has been there for quite some time when WhatsApp brought WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp app for PC and Mac, but it still had to depend on the WhatsApp account on your mobile.

It needed to be connected to the internet for you to use WhatsApp on your computer, and t’s finally changing now.

You can use Whatsapp on your computer without actually having your mobile phone connected to the internet. You can do this on up to 4 devices at a time.

Which, I think, is a genuinely multi-device feature. The feature is currently in beta and can be found on the screen and link the WhatsApp Web on your mobile, where you scan the QR code.

If the slots in their beta program are limited, I’m not sure if you will be able to join the beta, but I joined their beta program a few days ago and have been using this feature since then.

The WhatsApp app for Mac and PC also lets you make video and voice calls now, and that also works when WhatsApp on your mobile is not connected to the internet.

This is a pretty cool feature and can be helpful in a lot of use cases. Such as, if you use WhatsApp for business and have it set up on the computer where you take orders aur book appointments using WhatsApp, it will not be dependent on WhatsApp on a mobile phone.

The feature is pretty helpful in many use cases

This feature is excellent since I am someone who puts their mobile phone on charge when the battery is dead. I love getting disconnected from the internet once in a while, but sometimes when I am working on my computer, and I have to pull something from WhatsApp or message someone, it makes it super easy to do that without reaching for my phone.

How to get this feature?

If you want to use this feature, you can check whether the beta option is available for you or not by going to the linked devices section in WhatsApp. If you are already using this feature, let me know if you liked it or not.
