Update: Even though Xiaomi brought their Redmi Note to India and have even put several flash sales on Flipkart, the possible reason for the delay of the Mi 4 Launch could be the Ban which is being imposed on their sales in India. It’s the reason they recently cleared all their stocks of Redmi Note in the recent sale.

Xiaomi entered the already crowded Indian Smartphone with their Mi3 few months ago and they were able to do a good number of sales, thanks to their much-hyped flash sales and exclusive availability on Flipkart.

The flash sales of Xiaomi Mi3 has been paused as of now and the company is focusing on the lower segment of mobile phones with their Redmi 1S which is also doing a good number of sales, thanks to their marketing strategy of flash sales.

The Mi 4 is a much-talked phone and is available in many markets outside India has still not made it here is quite surprising.

Though Mi 4 is available on eBay at a higher price, it is imported from outside. So when the Mi 4 officially launches in India it will be somewhere between Rs 20,000 to Rs 22,000.

Xiaomi’s Vice President for International Operations, Hugo Barra said in an Interview that the Mi 4 is expected to be launched by the December end of 2014.

Here is what he has to say about the launch date of Mi 4 in India.

“We don’t have a date for Mi 4 yet. I am going to stick with what I said earlier which is still the plan -launch it late December 2014 or early January 2015. I don’t think the Redmi Note would conflict with Mi 4 even if we launch them together.”

Looking at the current pattern of how Xiaomi has been selling their phones,  Mi 4 is also going to be exclusively sold on Flipkart in their flash sales on Tuesdays.
