There are several reports surfacing the internet about Xiaomi launching a sub-brand called POCO, under which it will be launching smartphones that will sit between mid-range and high-end smartphones.

Apparently, it is Xiaomi’s attempt at pocking fun at Oppo Brand which poked Xioami’s Redmi Brand with their own RealMe 1.

In a way, we can say that it will be competing with OnePlus and other affordable flagships that are available at for lesser prices than what top end flagships.

If the reports are to be believed in the phone would be launching somewhere at the end of 2018.

The Smartphone is more about the specs and less about the exterior, it’s a basic looking phone with high-end specs, and there is surely a big market for phones like that in India.

People who are more into specs than design, because, at the end of the day, all the phones are going to be wrapped up in a protective phone case.

So, as the launch of this mystery phone is nearing, several other pieces of information are getting leaked every other day. Since we are not much of news update site, it is better for us to put all the information regarding this particular phone in one particular post.

Specifications of POCO Phone F1

The POCO Phone F1 is going to be the first smartphone from this Sub-brand, by looking at the campaigns done by the company it puts more emphasis on the speed of the phone.

The phone is set to have 5.99 inches of IPS LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1080 X 2246 pixels, which makes the pixel density at 416 PPI. And yes there is a notch at the top.

Since it is meant to kill the flagships, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coming at 2.8 GHz. And it’s going to have 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage.

The phone is also going to have high storage variants as well.

It will be running on Android 8.1 Oreo with MI UI 9.5 on top of it, and since the phone is not released yet we can expect it to be what are the first smartphones that will be getting the recently released Android 9 Pie.

Talking about the camera it will be a dual camera setup with 12 megapixels + 5-megapixel camera and there will be a 20-megapixel camera on the front.

The phone is capable of recording 4K Ultra HD videos, and just like its other smartphones, it has got me I incorporate it into the camera to take photos in different lighting conditions.

There will be a huge 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm quick charge 3.0 fast charging support.

Availability and the Pricing of POCO Phone F1 in India

Like we said earlier at the starting of this article that this phone is targeted towards the hi mid-range segment so the price would be around Rs 30,000.

When we can expect the smartphone to be launching in India by the end of August. If the rumours are to be believed, it will be launched on 22nd August 2018.
