If you are a hardcore PUBG lover, you might already know the difference between PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

Maybe you just started playing the game and want to know the difference, hence you are on this page, looking for answers.


What’s the difference between PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite?

The number of the one difference between both the versions of PUBG is size.

The file size difference between PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite

The file size of PUBG Mobile in the Play Store is 50mb and once you download the client, it downloads additional files that is approximately 1GB.

After the installation, the PUBG Mobile game takes around 2.5 GB of storage space on your mobile phone.

The installation file of PUBG Mobile Lite is also around 50 MB in size but once you download the PUBG Mobile Lite app, the additional files downloaded is approximately 500 MB, which is just half of what you need to download for playing PUBG Mobile.

Even the storage space taken by PUBG Mobile light on mobile is less than 1GB.

Which means the PUBG Mobile Lite is suitable for smartphones where there is storage issues, which most likely happens in Budget smartphones.

While it’s a huge difference between the size of the game, it is not the only reason why PUBG Mobile Lite was created initially.

Fewer details in PUBG Mobile Lite make it easy on the Processor Processor

The additional files downloaded for PUBG Mobile is for giving you detailed graphics for the game, while in PUBG Mobile Lite, it has been taken special care that minimum amount of details are displayed, which takes less processing power, making it easy on the low powered processors of a budget smartphone.

Gaming on a smartphone uses the maximum processing power a Smartphone can offer, and when the Processor is used in full throttle it tends to get heated.

Budget mobiles are not good at managing the heat, the processes run faster as it requires more power.

So, if you try to play PUBG Mobile on a budget smartphone, it will have some issues playing it.

Limited Maps to play on PUBG Mobile Lite

In a way, PUBG Mobile is a full-fledged game available for Smartphone Gamers while the PUBG Mobile Lite tries to give rest of the people a taste of the game without having to upgrade their mobile phones just for it.

So, the overall idea of the game is pretty much the same, but there are a lot of things that are limited in PUBG Mobile Lite.

Such as, there is a limitation of Maps available for PUBG Mobile Lite as there are only two maps available for it, as of writing this article.

The maps for PUBG Mobile Lite are also smaller in comparison to the maps of PUBG Mobile.

Limited duration of Gameplay for PUBG Mobile Lite

Not only there is a limitation of the map and its size there is also a limitation of the duration of the game for PUBG Mobile Lite.

PUBG Mobile of the match is double the duration time of a PUBG Mobile Lite gameplay.

Few Number of Players in PUBG Mobile Lite

Hundred people can play a PUBG Mobile match while the number of people who can play the match in PUBG Mobile light is 60, party because the duration and the size of the map is smaller.

So, while PUBG Mobile Lite is great for starters to taste the game, the real fun in playing PUBG is playing the PUBG Mobile.

And if you play PUBG Mobile once, you are not going to like the PUBG-Mobile Lite experience.

If you are looking for or a better smartphone that can handle playing PUBG Mobile Lite, you can go for smartphones that have got Snapdragon 700 series chipset, or if you have a bigger budget, you can go for smartphones with Snapdragon 800 series chipset.

While having a premium series of the chipset is not the only criterion for a better smartphone for playing PUBG. Still, if a smartphone puts Snapdragon 700 series aur 800 series in their smartphones, pretty much all the other things are going to be great as well, at least for gameplay.
