Instagram is the most popular social media platform. It has over 1 billion monthly users and continues to grow. Instagram is an excellent platform for sharing photos and videos, connecting with friends and family, and exploring new interests.
Undoubtedly, its servers have a lot of stress, with millions of videos being uploaded daily, but it’s infrequent that we see an outage on Instagram. If your Instagram is not loading, there could be one of many reasons why Instagram is not loading. I am adding some possible solutions to fix Instagram not loading problem.
Instagram has a help page that provides some common solutions but if it doesn’t help try these solutions.
Check your internet connection.
The most common reason why Instagram or any other have would not load the internet connection is if you are connected to a wi-fi network, you can check if wi-fi is working by searching in google or opening any other app to check if the internet is working.
If you cannot search on google to find a video on youtube and send a message on messaging app, then chances are high the internet connection is not working. You can switch to mobile data mode to see if this fixes the problem. Or if you are using mobile data in the first place, try saying if you are in a proper network area.
Try the second method if your internet is working, but mobile data for your wi-fi network.
Check if Instagram is down
There are many services that let you know if. There are many services available that will let you know if the issue is global or local.
If there is an outage, it immediately starts 21 twitter so it’s the place where you can check if there’s any outage. Or you can use apps like Down Detector which collects user data to figure out if there is an outage or not.
If thereRestart your device
This is the first thing you should do whenever you face any issue on your mobile. It is not just about Instagram; any other app would behave similarly. But once you restart your phone, most of the problems go away.
Check App permissions
Maybe the issue is as minor as you not getting the notifications but actually getting messages and the stories are also loading.
There might be an issue with the app permissions where the notifications are not enabled or you may have disabled by mistake.
To fix the app permissions, long type on the app icon, then tap on app info, which will take you to the app settings page where one of the options would be permissions,
When you tap on permissions you will see what permissions have been given to the app. Find out if the notification permission is enabled for instagram to continue receiving notifications.
If it has issue regarding the camera not opening for stories, or audio not recording, check out the Camera and Audio permissions as well.
Check for updates
This is also one of the common reasons why Instagram or any other app would not load. Maybe you have updated your operating system, and the new operating system version is incompatible with Instagram, or perhaps you have not updated your app. In this case, you can look up if there is any update available for Instagram or not.
Indeed you may have enabled the automatic updates, but that too gets triggered at a particular time, and maybe it is not triggered to update the app automatically yet, and you are facing this issue.
Similarly, you may not have updated your mobile’s OS, the good thing is it might be affecting a lot of people, which forces the device manufacturers to push another update to fix the problem. So you can check out if there is an update available for the operating system.
You can do that by going to the About section from the settings area of your smartphone, and to see if there is any update available.
Clear the cache
This is also one of the most common problems faced by android users. The most common solution to it is to clear the cache. I can do that by long tapping on the app icon and then going to have in 4 where you will find a few options one of them would be to clear the cache.
Uninstall/ Reinstall
Sometimes only caring the cache does not solve the problem and if it doesn’t then what you can try is try on installing the app and then install it again. This will remove everything from your smartphone and the app will install fresh files, and start a new connection as well.
This solves most of the ‘app’s non-responsive problems, but if it does not, it’s highly likely you are not alone, and there is some outage on Instagram. The blackout can be local and depends on your internet service provider to fix it; the outage can also be global, where the servers have any issue, but it rarely happens.
