The line between a Desktop computer and Smartphone is getting narrower day by day, and with smartphones getting as powerful as desktop computers (with more RAM and Higher CPU) there are only a few limitations that differentiate the PC with a smartphone.

And one such limitation is the support for Chrome extensions in Google Chrome Browser for PC, while the Chrome for Android is simple and plain Browser.

We can be more productive if we get the same Chrome extensions on our smartphone. And in this article, we are going to talk about just that.

So, this is how you can use Chrome extensions on your Android smartphone.

To install Chrome extensions on your smartphone, you will have to install Firefox browser, this allows users to add Chrome extension to Android smartphone.

  • Just head to go to the Play Store and install the Firefox browser.
  • Select the desktop view from the menu, now go to Tools and find ‘Browse for all Add-ons‘.
  • Then search for ‘Chrome Store Foxified‘ on the next page and enable the plugin on the Firefox browser.
  • Visit the Chrome web store and add extensions of your choice.

This is all you have to do to use the Chrome extensions on your Android smartphone.

The Firefox for Android supports Chrome exchange and you will be able to use them on your Android smartphone.

Apart from the Firefox app, there is another browser called Yandex which also supports Chrome extensions, however, the support is limited and there are many Chrome extensions that are not compatible.

Even with the Firefox browser for Android, there will be certain Chrome extensions that will not work since they would require a desktop user interface.

Maybe in future, we will see a version of Chrome for Android that will support the Chrome extensions natively, which will also enhance the productivity and allow users how to make use of the powerful smartphones.
