OnePlus 6 is finally launched and is available to purchase from Amazon.in, compare the phone with few of other phones in a similar price range. And it turns out to be the best smartphone in the price range that is available in the market right now.
If you want to buy the smartphone or you already own it here are few tips and tricks you should know to get the most out of the smartphone.
1. Hide the Notch
Like all the flagship smartphones, OnePlus 6 also comes with a Notch, in an attempt to give an all front screen. If you have a love or hate relationship with the ‘Notch’ OnePlus give some easy option to turn off the Notch.
To turn off the notch, go to the settings – display – notch display and tap on ‘hide the not area’ toggle button.
Since the smartphone comes with an all-screen front, there is no room to put navigation buttons at the bottom, OnePlus give the option to display the navigation button on the screen, but you can make use of the entire screen for displaying content and use gestures to navigate.
You can hide the onscreen navigation button from the settings, in the buttons section, by tapping on navigation bar and gestures.
3. Run two instances of the same app
If you want to run two different accounts on the same app, suggest to WhatsApp auto Facebook app, you can easily do that in OnePLus.
Go to the apps section in the settings, you will find parallel apps option, you will need to tap on the toggle button to enable or disable parallel instances of the apps.
4. Using Face unlock
Oneplus offers fingerprint sensor at the back, but many reviewers have stated that the fingerprint sensor is a little small and people might have difficulty in operating at.
The good thing is, the smartphone also has an extra feature of Face Unlock where you can add your face and unlock your smartphone using your face. It’s pretty quick and works in almost all scenarios where your face is visible.
You can go to the security and lock screen section in the settings, and find Face unlock & lock screen, turn on and add your face by following the instructions.
5. Find more settings in the camera app
The settings of the camera app are a bit hard to find, you can swipe up when your inside the camera app which will reveal all the settings such as Slow motion, Pro Mode, Timelapse etc.
6. Customise the Alert slider
The physical alert slider on Oneplus 6 has three different options, silent, vibration and ring.
But you can now make changes by going to the Alert slider section in settings, you can make the alarm clock ring even in silent mode, which I am sure will come in handy for a lot of people.
