So, do you use Inbox by Google? I am sure you must be enjoying the Inbox Zero. It actually did help me achieve Inbox Zero, the state when you stop worrying about your messed up Inbox.
Inbox by Google has become my default tool, I love it so much that one day, I allowed Google to Redirect me from Gmail to Inbox by Google.
But here is the problem, I use Gmail for much more than using the Google Account Email. I have several others emails added to it via the POP/IMAP Emails feature in Gmail. Sadly Inbox by Google doesn’t have this options, and if you ever need to do some changes, like, adding or removing emails, or changing other things available in the Gmail settings.
It can’t happen if you have selected the Redirect from Gmail to Inbox by Google. No matter what you do, you will be redirected to Inbox by Google and there is no way to get into the Gmail settings, except for one, and that is, to disable the redirect.
Thankfully this options is easily accessible in Inbox by Google. Just click on the ‘Settings’ and go to the ‘Other‘ section and uncheck ‘Redirect Gmail to inbox.google.com’
There used to be a link at the bottom of Inbox by Gmail menu that said something like ‘Take me to Gmail’ But Google decided to remove it to make users stay on Inbox.
Sidenote: When I landed on Gmail after removing the redirect, I found that my Inbox zero wasn’t actually an Inbox Zero with other 100 unread emails. I would still be using Inbox by Google, and wish if Google brings these Gmail settings to it someday, but then it’s going to be too crowded like the Gmail.
I guess you don’t always get everything you want. till then, this trick surely makes the life easy.
