Use a data recovery tool to scan the hard drive and find Chrome’s password data files, which may have copies of deleted passwords. This might be useful if your computer is unused just like in my case. But if the data was removed from computer, it won’t work.
Restore from any backups, like system image backups, that pre-date the accidental password deletion. You can find this in Windows PC. This will only work if you have a recent backup because the older the image backup of your computer is, the less updated data will be restored

Quite strangely, the last option also worked for me. Turns out I had Lastpass Chrome extension installed on a Google Chrome browser. It had almost every password saved in it.
It’s just that I had stopped using it a few months ago weeks ago as i found Google Password Manager to be equally good.

It’s wise to also use some cross-platform, open and interoperable tools. For example, using a password manager like LastPass rather than only the Google password manager.
Diversify where you keep key data like passwords, documents, photos, etc. so you aren’t fully reliant on one ecosystem.
If you ever find yourself in a situation where you have to give your smartphone to someone else, it’s an issue of trust if you don’t trust this person you are always concerned. Maybe that person is snooping into a specific app.
Sadly, I could not find a working app for iPhone that does just that. So I created and iPhone shortcut which pretty much does the same thing.
Due to iPhone restriction it does not work on the main lock screen of iPhone. But you can still use it to prevent content from a specific app by applying this shortcut.
For example you don’t want anyone to snake into your photos app on your iPhone you can use this shortcut to get triggered whenever the photos app is open. The shortcut will ask for a password to give access to photos app.
If the person is not able to enter the right password, not only the shortcut will lock your iPhone, it will also take a photograph of that person from the front camera of your iPhone. How cool is that?
Let’s see how you can create the shortcut
To make this shortcut run when an app is opened, you need to select a trigger. IPhone shortcut offers different figures in the Automation tab.
Add the ‘App Open’ trigger
Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and go to the ‘Automation‘ tab. Here you will find a lot of triggers. Select the ‘App‘ open trigger to activate the shortcut.
Choose the app you want to secure, in this case, the ‘Photos‘ app and then on the next page you will have to select actions that will be performed after ‘App open‘ is triggered.
Select blank and then you can add actions into the shortcut. Below is a screenshot of my shortcut app if you are a visual person, or continue reading the article to learn what actions are added.
Add Action to the Shortcut
The first action would be,’Go to Home Screen‘ which will prevent your content from being viewed.
The next action would be ‘Ask for Input‘. We will be using this action for asking for a password. Tap on text and select ‘Number’
The third action would be ‘If’ condition. You can set the condition to match the Provided input to a particular number (5050 in this case). It will be the password.
Add the Next action, which would happen if the conditions are met (meaning, the password is correct). Add action ‘Open app‘, and select ‘Photos‘ app.
Add another action ‘Wait’. It will prevent a loop because if the Photos app is opened, the shortcut will again get triggered and this will create a loop. To prevent that, we are adding ‘Wait’ action and set 60 seconds.
Now, in the ‘Otherwise‘ section of the ‘If‘ condition action, add actions which will happen if the conditions are not met, (meaning, the password is not entered correctly).
Add action ‘Take Photo‘ and select the ‘Front‘ camera. Make sure you ‘Disable Preview’.
Add action ‘Save Photo‘. By default the photo get saved in ‘Recent‘, but if you want to keep it organised you can create an Album in Photos app called ‘Intruder Selfie‘ (or something descriptive).
Add another action ‘Lock the screen‘. Tap on Done.
You can test the Shortcut. When you open the Photos app, it will prompt for a password and if you don’t enter the right password, the shortcut will take a selfie and save it in the Photos app.
You can prevent not only Photos app, but any app on your iPhone. You can create multiple automations for individual apps. The process would be pretty much the same.

If you own a Mac, you must be knowing how tricky it is to uninstall an application on a Mac computer. The guides on the internet tell you, you can go to the Applications folder and directly delete the app you don’t want on your Mac computer.
But that doesn’t completely uninstall the app. There are some leftover files on your computer that remain there, until you remove them.
Either you can do it manually or you can use applications that can help you automate it. Let’s first see what Apple’s official guide says about uninstalling apps from Mac completely.
Apple’s Native Solution to Uninstall Apps from Mac
Apple’s official support has two methods to do it.
Use Launchpad to uninstall apps downloaded from the App Store. When you long press on an app in the launchpad, all the apps that can be uninstalled, will have an X on the apps that can be uninstalled. (refer to the image below)
Use the Finder to delete apps
You can go to Finger – Application – Select the app you want to uninstall and right click on it, then select ‘Move to Trash’.
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind that if you are deleting a Paid app with Subscription, delete it won’t cancel the subscription, you will have to go to the App Store to cancel it.
Like I said, deleting apps using these Native solution won’t remove all the files.
For manually, removing the network files, you will have to search for the files in the library folder. Here is after do it.
Suppose, I have to uninstall android studio from my computer. And I have already remove it from the application folder. File look for the leftover files in library folder.
To go to library, open Finder App. M from the menu bar click on ‘Go’, and then click on ‘Go to Folder’ then type ~/Library.
You will reach the ‘Library folder’, here you can use search bar to search for the app. In my case, it’s AndroidStudio.
From here I can select all the files that appear that are related to AndroidStudio and move them to Trash.
All this sounds a little too complicated, that is why I recommend these third party apps for it.
CleanMyMac (PAID)
I’ve shared an application that lets you uninstall apps on your mac and clean file residue automatically. It’s called CleanMyMac, but it’s a paid application and uninstalling application is part of, is one feature of that application. The main feature of CleanMyMac is to keep your Mac optimized by cleaning unnecessary space.
I would highly recommend you get it for your Mac if you want to improve the life cycle of your Mac computer. But if you don’t want that and you don’t want to spend money on an app for uninstalling applications from your computer, then here is a free solution.
You can install this application from the App Store and it’s just 6 MB in size, so it’s not taking a lot of storage also. After installing, you have to give it access to the ‘Applications’ folder as well as the ‘Users’ folder.
After that, it will scan all the applications available on your Mac computer along with the data they are occupying, along with the storage they are occupying on the device.
You can easily select multiple applications at once and then remove them from your computer. For easier understanding, you can watch this video that I created for you.

WhatsApp has made it easy to switch phones. Still, only if you are changing within the platform, for example, if you are switching from an Android phone to another Android, you have an option to backup your data in Google Drive, and then restore it on your newser Android Phone.
Similarly, if you switch from one iPhone to another, you can backup all your WhatsApp data to the iCloud and then restore it to the new iPhone.
This is where the problem lies. For android smartphones, the backup service is Google Drive, and for iPhones, it’s the iCloud.
WhatsApp could easily have given the option to backup chats in Google Drive on the iPhone, making things a lot easier for switching between these different platforms. Still, I am sure it is a limitation put down by Apple because it does not want to give anybody an option to move out of their ecosystem.
Native Solution to Transfer WhatsApp from Android to iPhone
iPhone finally has made a native solution to move whatsapp from Android to iPhone. They have released Move to iOS app for Play Store and it has an option of moving your WhatsApp to iPhone.
Here are the steps on how to move WhatsApp from Android to iPhone using the Move to iOS app:
On your Android phone, open the Move to iOS app.
On your iPhone, go to Settings – General – Erase All Data. When your iPhone is in new state, start setting it up by following screen instructions,
Tap on Setup Manually, and then select Move Data from Android from the list of options.
A code will be displayed on your iPhone. Enter the code on your Android phone.
Tap Continue on both devices.
On your Android phone, select WhatsApp, along with other contents you would want to move to iPhone.
WhatsApp will start preparing the transfer by exporting 1 big file, it might take a while, depending on how big your WhatsApp data is.
Tap Start on your Android phone and wait for the data to be transferred.
Once the data is transferred, you can open WhatsApp on your iPhone and log in with your account information.
The iPhone will find there’s WhatsApp data move from Android and you can restore it easily.
There’s a Downside of using the Native Method to Transfer WhatsApp from Android to iPhone.
You need to do it when you just bought your iPhone, or if you’ve a;ready setup your iPhone, you will need to reset it. Unfortunately this is the only way you will get the option of Move data from Android.
Also, it doesn’t work for every Android smartphone. Since the Move to iOS app is created by Apple Developers based in the US, they have tested only a handful of Android devices. They are also keen on targeting flagship owners. So if you have smartphones like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, there is no surely will will work. But. there’s a workaround.
Workaround to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone
Here are some workarounds you can follow to move WhatsApp Messages from Android and restore WhatsApp on iPhone without Factory reset
Use WhatsApp on iPhone as a Linked device
WhatsApp has launched a feature where it allows users to use their WhatsApp on multiple devices by linking it. You will find this option of linking your WhatsApp to other devices in the settings area. You can link your WhatsApp on Android to another WhatsApp app on iPhone, Mac or even WhatsApp Web.
If you are planning on keeping your android phone with you, this can also be a thinkable solution of using your WhatsApp on your iPhone, without having to erase all the contents of your iPhone, just to move your data Android.
Now, over to the paid solutions, Why Paid? because it just doesn’t stop at buying an expensive Apple device. Everyone knows Apple people have deep pockets, they can pay for things like moving their data from Android to iPhone, without having to do a lot of geeky effort. I’ve also figured it’s not worth trying to find free solutions.
Transfer WhatsApp from Android to iPhone using iToolLab
Lately to move WhatsApp from Android to iPhone, and the process was smooth. Although, it is a paid app. There is one time plan as well, which is $13.
For $13, you get access to the app for one month and you will be able to Transfer your WhatsApp from Android to iPhone or, from iPhone to Android. Everything from Chat history, to Media files, to Voice notes, to GIFs you sent. Everything will be included in WhatsApp backup and will be restored to iPhone.
Once you have downloaded and installed the iTunes lab application on your computer, connect your iPhone and android data cable. Make sure that you have selected both devices correctly, your android phone in source and your iPhone. If you’re connecting your iPhone for the first time, you may have to unlock your iPhone and then tap on trust this computer.
And for Android, you have to enable USB Debugging. Which is an option, you will find in the Developer Options. (If Developer Options is not enabled, it can easily be enable it by going to the above section of your phone from the Settings, where your Android version is written.
You have to tap on it several times before the Developer Options is enabled) Once the options is enabled, you will be able to find USB Debugging.
Create a new backup of your WhatsApp on your Android and also enable encryption. When enable encryption, you will be given the Encryption key, you can take a screenshot of it as you will have to use it in the transfer process.
Once you have created local backup of your WhatsApp on your android mobile, you can start the process, your computer will backup all the files from Android, decrypt it (using the key you took screenshot of), then convert it in a format that can be restored on iPhone.
And then it will be restored to the iPhone, (before that it will notify you to login into your WhatsApp account on your iPhone).
Once the transfer process is done, you can click on okay and check your iPhone, if done correctly, you will see all your WhatsApp data transferred successfully to your iPhone.

And if you want to do that, there is undoubtedly an option that involves a third party software available for Windows and Mac, which will allow you to transfer WhatsApp chats from Android to iPhone or vice versa.
The software is called MobileTrans, and it’s from Wondershare. It is available for both Windows as well as Mac. If you want it for windows, you can get it for $29, and if you wanted for Mac, you would have to pay $39.
But once you get the license, the process is relatively easy. All you have to do is connect both your Android and iPhone to the computer using the cable provided with the mobile phones, let the software recognize both the devices, and then you can choose to transfer WhatsApp data from one smartphone to another.

Google is rolling out the ‘Help Me Write’ feature to Gmail and Google Docs. This feature can help you write emails, create outlines, write poems, and much more. It is available for free to everyone as part of the Google Workspace suite of productivity apps.
How to use ‘Help Me Write’ Feature
To use Help Me Write, simply open a Gmail or Google Docs document and click on the “Help Me Write” button.
Using it inside Gmail
When you click on compose email and then click on the body of the email to write, the help me right feature will be available at the bottom when you click on it you will get an in popup, well you can ask it to write an email, it can be about anything.
For example, I asked with to write a cold email to pitch my services. You can do the same if you have got a product or service and you want to pitch it to potential clients.
Using it inside Google Docs
Using this feature inside google docs is the most fun. Google docs is already an awesome product from Google. It has got voice typing feature which leads you talk into the microphone and it converts your voice into words like magic.
But it is not perfect, sometimes it doesn’t recognise some words, for gets capitalisation or even misses a word. But with help me right feature combined you can use it as a content creation tool.
But this tool can also be used by other people as well. If you are working in a corporate job or your a student you can ask it to create an outline for a presentation your preparing or maybe and outline for an essay you have to write then you can feel in the details yourself.

Recently, I encountered a concerning incident where my YouTube account was being used to watch videos I hadn’t accessed myself. Upon investigation, I discovered that a Chrome extension was responsible for this unauthorized activity. To address the issue of Chrome extension malware, I came across an invaluable tool called “Guardio Protection.” This robust extension scans your browsing history, identifies compromised websites that may have experienced data breaches, and alerts you to potentially harmful Chrome extensions. In my case, Guardio Protection detected that the “PIP mode” chrome extension, which I had been using for years, had recently become infected. If that happens, you are going to have tough time finding. Surely, you can login to your router and find the password, only said it and set another password. But here is an easier alternative to view password of your Wifi saved on your PC.
If you have already connected your PC to your Wi-Fi, this method is going to be a blessing in disguise.
To view the saved password on your Windows machine in you need to right click on the Wi-Fi icon in the system tray on the bottom right hand side then choose open Network and sharing centre

Bonus Tip: Set up a keyboard shortcut to toggle it on and off. This way you will be easily able to talk into the mic and convert it into text.
AudioPen
If you are looking for a better option with a small limitation, you can use AudioPen. It does not transcribe in real time, as the audio needs to be sent to Whisper AI for transcribing.
If you are patient enough, you will get perfect transcription, properly formatted, even if you make mistakes. It’s great for putting your thoughts in words.
Bonus Tip: AudioPen is available as a web app for computers as well as mobile phones. But the Chrome extension lets you create text much faster.
Start the recorder and start speaking into the microphone. You can switch between different tabs. For example, if you are doing research work and have got multiple tabs open, you can go through each tab, read out the information and AudioPen will capture it, format it nicely so that you will have to spend less time compiling text from multiple sources.
MacWhisper
MacWhisper is a great free tool you can download for Mac computers. Not only will it let you convert your audio into properly transcribed text, it is capable of transcribing full length videos and audios.
The Pro version has more functions, such as tagging the speakers and exporting the text as an SRT file which you can use for adding subtitles for videos.
But the simple use case can also be using Mac Whisper as a tool for voice typing. Alternatively you can use the Dictation feature on Mac Computer.
Dictation on macOS Sonoma
Apple is bringing much needed improvement to the Dictation feature on Mac computers.
The next operating system Mac OS Sonoma will let users use the Dictation feature along with the Keyboard (currently the Dictation gets disabled when you start using the keyboard).
The Dictation feature has got improvements as it uses AI to predict the text for accurate transcription. With the Dictation feature, you can use Speech to Text anywhere on your computer, even outside of the Google Chrome browser. Same goes for the Dictation feature on iPhone with iOS 17.
